From Tennessee To Delaware

Miranda Wood English 101 October 3, 2009 Essay Moving from Tennessee to Delaware When I was nineteen and pregnant with my son, my family and I hold upd from a sawed-off townshipsfolk in Tennessee, Johnson City was in the middle of nowhere with a population of about one thousand people. I got stuck move with my step dad’s sister and her husband in the van. In this van and for the whole nine and a half hours they must have smoked three cartons of cigarettes; I cute to pass out. I did survive only because I started behold signs for New Jersey and New York. This is when I came to the historicalization that I was no longer in Tennessee. I know roughly people that live in Delaware think that is not real big, but if you come from the part of Tennessee I came from, Delaware seems huge.

For the entire prototypic year was in Delaware I wouldn’t drive on the “interstate”, what you all call ninety- five, two ninety- five, or highway one. We only had one interstate in Johnson City and if you got on it you were leaving town. You weren’t traveling the interstate just to go to the mall or the movies, and you def! initely weren’t headed to the beach. You were headed out of town with a purpose, and it was going to be a long trip, because in Johnson City, nothing is close. Before I moved to Delaware I worked at Pizza Hut in Tennessee. My first job in Delaware was also a waitressing, but Lone Star Steak House. I did not know what was in store for me.
